Despite the trade war, rising interest rates, state government fiscal dysfunction (CT for one), the future for small business is looking very good. The National Federation of Independent Small Business study from this September states that small business optimism is at a record high and combined with an increase in job satisfaction according to The Conference Board, there is opportunity for business owners to grow. One area of serious concern for small business owners is finding good people to add to their team.
One way for small business owners to attract potential employees is by making their company more attractive to the marketplace. Small business owners very often struggle to offer the same quality & quanity of benefits that larger employers do, which makes competing for top talend and retaining high-performing employees much more challenging.
